Meet Marcela

Born in Chile immersed in in a culture of dance, Marcela quickly distinguished herself as dance master.  Learning all traditional Latin dances, and studying formal dance and ballet, by the age of 16 she was a professional Tango dancer performing in TV and theaters.  But her love was always oriental dance, belly dance that connected her to the divine mother.  At the age of 8 Marcela loved to play with all forms of dance and naturally started using belly dance movements that became her own secret dance.  Later at 14 when she took her first belly dance class, she realized that what she had been doing all those years was accessing the sacred art of oriental belly dance.

In a twist of fate, Marcela was faced with her own mortality at the age of 19.  With inoperable lymphoma constricting Marcela’s heart and lungs the Doctors gave her a death sentence.  She made an oath to the god and goddess that if she were spared, she would commit her life to serving them and helping the world heal through them.  After almost dying on the operating table, when she woke up, she knew she had been blessed.

Marcela used belly dance to heal herself at an accelerated rate, and felt the goddess growing within her. Since then she has danced her way through life and share her passion.
